Who are Your Friends…
Description
If it wasn't for his four friends, the man who was sick of palsy was going to die in his situation. Jesus the healer was in his city, so close, yet of his own will and effort, it was almost impossible to get to Christ. The paralyzed man probably had very little going for him, but he had maintained good relationships..
Taking from this story; My Brothers & Sisters we need to cultivate and nurture meaningful relationships especially with these four friends:
1. THE HOLY SPIRIT. (Romans 8:26) Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought , but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. ( Also; John 14:16-17)
2. THE RIGHTEOUS MAN, your Spiritual Mentor or Pastor: (James 5:16b)........The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (Also Heb 13:17)
3. THE CHURCH: (Acts 12:5) Peter was therefore kept in prison , but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. (Also; Heb 10:25)
4. ONE GOD FEARING FRIEND: (Eccl 4:9-10). Two are better than one , Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls , For he has no one to help him up. (Also; Pro 27:17)
You are blessed to have these four, whose love & concern for your well-being is the very center of their ministry. The cost of serving and carrying people to Christ is not cheap. This is why you should nurture and treasure these four in high regard..
